Meiji Bulgaria Celebrates 11th Anniversary, Reinforcing Its Success as a Health Leader by Donating 1.1 Million Baht to the Colorectal Surgeons Association
CP-Meiji Co., Ltd., a leader in the pasteurized fresh milk market and dairy products, celebrates its success and reinforces its position as a health leader. This mission promotes awareness among Thai people about the importance of colon health while introducing the beneficial bacteria LB81, a pure strain from Bulgaria, exclusively found in Bulgarian yogurt. Research supports that it aids digestion, balances the intestines, and is good for health. To share good health with the Thai people on the occasion of its 11th anniversary in Thailand, the company organized the campaign “1 Cup Equals 1 Baht Donation,” in collaboration with 7-Eleven, donating a total of 1,100,000 Baht to the Colorectal Surgeons Association of Thailand to support the treatment and development for patients with colorectal diseases. For every purchase of Meiji Bulgarian natural yogurt at 7-Eleven, 1 cup = 1 Baht donation throughout August.
Ms. Salilrat Pongpanit, Managing Director of CP-Meiji Co., Ltd., stated, “This is another source of pride and a testament to the 11 years of Meiji Bulgaria's commitment to promoting consumer health by developing and presenting new products that meet consumer needs. We adhere to the brand's strengths in three areas that have won consumer hearts: the texture of the yogurt—thick, smooth, and uniquely stable, produced cup by cup, mimicking the traditional Bulgarian method without any stabilizers; selection of natural ingredients without synthetic additives, making Meiji Bulgaria yogurt a true traditional recipe; and beneficial bacteria LB81, a pure strain from Bulgaria, one of the countries with the longest-living populations in the world. This beneficial bacteria LB81 is only found in Meiji Bulgarian yogurt, supported by international scientific research. Recently, we conducted a clinical study among Thai people showing that LB81 in Meiji Bulgarian yogurt is genuinely beneficial for health, helping to normalize bowel movements when consumed regularly and reducing irritability.”
This year, on the occasion of Meiji Bulgaria's 11th anniversary, we launched the campaign “1 Cup Equals 1 Baht Donation” to celebrate its 11 years in Thailand, inviting Thai people to be “givers” by purchasing Meiji Bulgarian natural yogurt at 7-Eleven, where 1 cup = 1 Baht donation throughout August. A total of 1,100,000 Baht was donated to the Colorectal Surgeons Association of Thailand, reflecting our commitment to another important mission of Meiji Bulgaria, which aims to encourage Thai people to consume yogurt for better colon health through yogurt containing the beneficial bacteria LB81, a pure strain from Bulgaria, supported by research showing its benefits for digestion and intestinal balance, exclusively found in Meiji Bulgarian yogurt. This also supports the campaign highlighting the importance of colon health.
Assistant Professor Dr. Boonchai Namsirimath, President of the Colorectal Surgeons Association of Thailand, stated that, from a medical perspective, beneficial bacteria are essential for the body. Consuming beneficial bacteria helps eliminate harmful bacteria in the digestive system and intestines, balancing the gut and strengthening it. Regular consumption of yogurt containing beneficial bacteria LB81 is a factor that supports reducing constipation and balancing the intestines, leading to better bowel movements, which is a crucial component of good health and an essential foundation for preventing the risk of colorectal cancer.
